Difference between newer version of the Nike Pro Combat Hyperstrong Football Short and the older version?

they seem the same, but if i ha to guess i would say the better one would always be the newer one....those kind of pants are light to begin with, but i think the newer one is lighter...and might have stronger padding and will last longer
