Feelling like something is stuck in sternum area after surgery?

I recently had surgery and my throat was sore afterwards but also had a feeling of something being stuck in the sternam area. Feels like when you swallow a pill and it get stuck but it is a constant feeling. Not sore but aggravating. Could this have something to do with the tube being put down my throat during surgery?
